This Eolithic limestone from the Jurassic era can only be found in certain areas of the world and we are privileged to be able to offer this natural stone roofing. The slates are hand cut in sizes from 6”-24” and comes in 6 varying widths, giving this stone the edge on our competitors.
All our slates are waterproof and unaffected by normal extremes of temperature, highly resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals and are colour-fast and non-fading, even in UV light.
This blend of quality and aesthetics, as well as the large format sizes available, make our natural roofing slate much desired for heritage and prestigious projects as well as new builds and extensions alike.
Slate is available in many sizes, but the most common and economical tp purchase and fix per m², is 50 x 25cm as is our stock. In areas of moderate rainfall this size slate can be used on roof pitches down to 25˚, and by using a 30cm wide slate as low as 20˚.
