All our slates are waterproof and unaffected by normal extremes of temperature, highly resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals and are colour-fast and non-fading, even in UV light.
This blend of quality and aesthetics, as well as the large format sizes available, make our natural roofing slate much desired for heritage and prestigious projects as well as new builds and extensions alike.
Slate is available in many sizes, but the most common and economical to purchase and fix per m2, is 50x25cm as is our stock. In areas of moderate rainfall this size slate can be used on roof pitches down to 25o , and by using a 30cm wide slate as low as 200.
