At Lifestiles we have taken the limestone and aged the stone in order to achieve a “reclaim” or aged look. These aged stones come in two thicknesses and again are available in all the sizes from 6” through to 24” in order to complement the special look that can only be found in the Cotswold’s.
Each slate is painstakingly worked with the specially developed natural pigments thus giving the perfect appearance of the scarce, sacred and expensive second hand and salvaged stone slates.
All our slates are waterproof and unaffected by normal extremes of temperature, highly resistant to acids, alkalis and other chemicals and are colour-fast and non-fading, even in UV light.
This blend of quality and aesthetics, as well as the large format sizes available, make our natural roofing slate much desired for heritage and prestigious projects as well as new builds and extensions alike.
Slate is available in many sizes, but the most common and economical tp purchase and fix per m², is 50 x 25cm as is our stock. In areas of moderate rainfall this size slate can be used on roof pitches down to 25˚, and by using a 30cm wide slate as low as 20˚. Technical downloads are available on our website or contact us and we can send them to you.
