When the developer of this stunning new build development in Suffolk came to plan the roofs, they knew they wanted to create something truly unique, using tiles that would combine elegance and performance. After consulting with us at Lifestiles, we recommended a bespoke mix of our Ashbury handmade clay tiles, carefully selected to enhance the development’s character.
This custom mix consisted of 60% Red, 30% Wiltshire and 10% Heather. Together, these tiles create a warm and inviting palette of colours, blending vibrant reds and oranges with deep burgundy hues. This mix of colours created a timeless finish that stands out beautifully:
- The Red tile has a rich mix of reds and oranges combined with an irregularity of shape, which creates a vibrant roof with a timeless charm.
- The Wiltshire tile has a red base colour with random black “soot” stains which gives an attractive weathered look to the roof without looking contrived.
- The Heather tile gives the finished roof-scape a deep blend of dark reds with a hint of burgundy. This beautiful heather colour is widely seen throughout the UK.
Each of these tiles is fully handmade, combining timeless craftsmanship with modern durability to create a roof that is built to last. The bespoke mix added a level of personalisation that made the properties truly one of a kind, and the developer was delighted with the final result.
