We’re proud to announce that our South Chailey project has been named ‘Best Use of Concrete or Clay Tiles for a Domestic Project’ at the RCI Magazine Pitched Roofing Awards.
Delivered by Mitchell Roofing Services, this project stood out for its quality of work, attention to detail, and the character achieved using our Woburn Handmade Clay Roof Tiles in the Dark Lavenham Blend.
The homeowner selected the Woburn Dark Lavenham tiles after comparing several samples, looking for something that felt traditional and full of character. The blend’s natural colour variation and texture made it the perfect match for a rural setting like South Chailey, giving the finished roof an authentic, heritage feel.
The project itself wasn’t without its challenges. The team at Mitchell Roofing Services had to deal with the aftermath of spray foam insulation, a full strip and re-roof, and restricted access down a narrow country lane. Despite that, the work ran smoothly, finished on time and on budget, and left the homeowner genuinely delighted with the result.
This award is a fantastic recognition of the skill, care, and attention shown by Mitchell Roofing Services throughout a challenging project.
We’re honoured that our Woburn handmade tiles played a part in the transformation, and delighted to see this level of craft rewarded.
Congratulations again to everyone involved.
