At Lifestiles, we’ve always believed that real product knowledge goes far beyond what you can read in a brochure. Understanding the materials we supply – how they’re made, where they come from, and the people behind them – is a vital part of the service we offer our customers.
Last week, members of the Lifestiles team took a trip to visit the quarries where we source our natural slates. These visits offer invaluable insight into the entire process, from extraction through to selection and quality control. Getting a first-hand look at how our slates are produced allows us to better understand the characteristics of each material, what makes them unique, and how to match them to the right projects.
“It’s easy to talk about quality, but seeing how it’s achieved gives you a completely different perspective,” said Sam, Head of Sales & Marketing. “It means we can speak to our customers with confidence and help them make the right call for their project – not just based on spec, but on real understanding.”
We also had the chance to meet some of the teams involved in quarry operations and processing. It’s always a privilege to see the skill, care, and dedication that goes into producing the materials we supply, something that often goes unseen but plays a crucial role in the final finish on site.
These visits are an important part of how we continue to improve as a business. They help us stay up to date with any changes in production, better anticipate lead times, and give more informed advice when it comes to recommending the right slate for each individual job.
A special thank you to Steve at Primera for the warm hospitality throughout the trip and for continuing to be such a supportive and trusted partner. Long-standing relationships like these are a big part of what makes Lifestiles what it is, and why our customers know they can count on us for quality, reliability, and insight.
We’re proud to keep building on that knowledge and investing time in the details, so we can help you deliver great results, every time.
