Last week, some of the Lifestiles team were on site at Doğanay Toprak Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş in Turkey, the factory where our Woburn handmade clay tiles are produced.
It’s always fascinating to see the process up close and to spend time with the people who put so much skill and care into every stage of production. During our visit, we had the chance to tour the factory and see the improvements and upgrades the team has introduced to enhance efficiency and quality control. It was a valuable opportunity to gain extra insight into the production process, from the precision in clay preparation and shaping, to the controlled drying and firing stages, as well as the ongoing quality checks and durability testing that ensure every tile meets the high standards our customers expect.
From the factory floor to the owners themselves, everyone welcomed us with smiles and a warmth that makes a visit like this so enjoyable. Trips like these are a key part of how we keep our knowledge sharp and our service personal. Understanding how our tiles are made helps us give our customers better advice, support, and confidence in every product we supply.
We also had the chance to sit down with our partners for some really productive discussions about how we can continue working in step to deliver the high-quality products our customers value. Strengthening these relationships is at the heart of what makes what we do possible.
A big thank you to the whole team at Doğanay Toprak for their hospitality and for sharing such valuable insights into their operations. It was a fantastic few days, and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead!
