The Ashvale and Holkham Barn clay pantiles can both be used on roofs pitched to 30Ëš assuming they are fixed in accordance with the British Standard Code of Practice for Slating & Tiling BS 5534: 2014.
However, if your roof pitch is lower than 30Ëš, please contact us with details of your requirements and we can offer a clay pantile solution down to a pitch as low as 17.5Ëš from our French Collection.
Both tiles are suitable for use in any part of the country, but indigenously pantiles are more commonly found in East Anglia and up the East coast of England.
These Glazed pantiles can be produced in a broad spectrum of colours to suit any pallet or landscape. From ocean blue that is popular in Poole Harbour, to the grass green that adorns the stables and equestrian centre at Newmarket, and from the brilliant black glazed tiles used on pubs on the Norfolk coast to Wimbledon School’s traditional terracotta, the choice is yours.
The tiles are twice fired to ensure that the colours are infused into the tile. These handcrafted tiles are formed in the same way as our Red and Restoration tiles, and they are then dried and fired, glazed and fired again thus producing this unique roof tile. The glazing can be produced to match any existing colour or particular colour required for your project.
