Building Strong Architectural Partnerships with CPD Sessions

Lifestiles and Classick brick had the pleasure of presenting a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) session for the wonderful LA Hally Architects.

For us, CPDs are more than just shouting about how great we are. We view them as opportunities to build connections and bring professionals from different sectors of the construction industry together, to figure out how we can work together to make each other’s lives that little bit easier.

Sandy, Steve, and Mike enjoyed providing architects with a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship involved in the intricate factory processes behind Classic Brick and Lifestiles. They discussed the significance of BQC accreditation – the Brickmakers Quality Charter, a Brick Development Association initiative – in ensuring quality assurance, along with highlighting the unique technical properties that distinguish these materials in construction projects, and let’s not forget the importance of Lucideon testing in guaranteeing reliability and durability, providing architects with confidence in the materials’ performance.

Steve Carvell, Commercial Director at Classic Bricks, reflected on the day saying, “Presenting and interacting with professionals from the industry is really beneficial to not only them but us too. Witnessing the enthusiastic responses to our ideas was a great experience. We’re looking forward to further collaboration with this wonderful team.”

Further highlighting the great impact of collaboration, during the discussions, we received feedback about regular requests for Bat Brick boxes from the LA Hally team. To show our commitment to environmentally responsible development and adding value to the specifiers, we unveiled the latest addition to our collection; the bat-friendly brick box, just weeks after our meet-up. This new addition promotes biodiversity and supports conservation efforts within the construction industry.

Bats play a crucial role in ecosystems by controlling insect populations, pollinating plants, and dispersing seeds. However, many bat species face habitat loss and fragmentation due to urban development and deforestation. Bat brick boxes provide artificial roosting sites, helping to mitigate the loss of natural habitats and supporting bat populations.
By providing education, understanding architects’ needs, showcasing innovation and sustainability, and taking on feedback, which builds trust and credibility, we hope to continue to build and nurture lasting relationships with architects going forward. Thank you to the team at LA Hally Architects for a great day!
