Overview
Lifestiles was pleased to support Wentworth Properties on an exclusive residential development in Suffolk, supplying a combination of our Haddon CHN slate and Edilians Panne S clay roof tiles through Howarth Timber in Bury St Edmunds. This project reflects our ongoing commitment to providing heritage-style, high-performance roofing materials to premium residential developers across the UK.
The Project
Wentworth Properties undertook the design and construction of a traditionally styled residential estate in the heart of Suffolk, with the intention of blending timeless aesthetics with durable and high quality materials that would enhance the curb appeal. The site called for roofing products that could offer both a heritage appearance and high technical performance to suit modern building requirements.
Our Solution
After consultation with the client, we supplied two distinct but complementary options including our:
- Haddon CHN Slates – with their clean lines and deep colouring, the Haddon CHN slates bring a refined and understated elegance to the roofscape, perfectly suited to the regional vernacular of Suffolk.
- Edilians Panne S Clay Tiles: produced in France, the Edilians Panne S is a classic curved interlocking tile known for its traditional styling and excellent performance. Its flowing profile adds character and texture to the roof, delivering both reliable weather protection and strong visual appeal.
This combination of slate and clay tile brings architectural variety to the project. The contrast between the crisp lines of the Haddon CHN and the soft curves of the Panne S enhances the visual identity of each plot, while maintaining cohesion across the development.
Result
With the striking slate alongside the natural colours and handcrafted textures of the tiles, the development delivers a refined and distinctive yet traditional finish – enhancing both the visual appeal and market value of the homes.
Feedback from Wentworth Properties has been extremely positive, with particular praise for the visual impact, ease of installation, and overall product quality as well as the service and expert advice given.
