Reviving tradition in modern homes
In the picturesque landscapes of the Hertfordshire countryside, a new build project embarked on a journey to preserve the traditional architecture while embracing modern functionality of a new build. Led by a passion for authenticity and tradition, the homeowners were keen to source materials that would give their property the charm of yesteryears.
The homeowners were keen to source the right materials for their project and future home which led them to the Homebuilding & Renovating Show at the NEC where we were exhibiting. Our team of experts were on hand to help with their knowledge and experience and with a selection of handmade clay roof tiles on display they could see the roof tiles in person. Our Head of Sales and Marketing Samantha Bell helped the homeowners to source the right roof tiles that matched their criteria.
After selecting our Woburn Old Red handmade clay roof tiles, the work was carried out by GRW Construction who did a fantastic job, creating a truly stunning finish!
The homeowner comments: “When we built our house 4 years ago we spent a lot of time sourcing the right materials so our house wouldn’t look like a new property. The handmade clay roof tiles really made the difference, giving the house an old original country look. They looked amazing when first laid but have improved as they have weathered over the past couple of years. Lifestiles were extremely helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with”.
We are delighted that 4 years on the homeowner is still pleased with their roof tiles – we are proud to supply roof tiles that stand the test of time!
