The Project
Their most ambitious project to date commenced when they received planning permission to “convert” a traditional barn. Believed to have been built in the 1800s, the site is in the attractive village of Meldreth, ten miles South West of Cambridge. The development was designed and constructed around the original elm-framed structure and blends old and new materials to achieve an imaginative and seamless interaction between the historical and modern aspects.
The Product
Crowning the entire site, the clay tile roof serves to connect the various materials with each other whilst forming an attractive focal point from surrounding locations. The handmade Ashbury Multi tiles were specified from Lifetiles’ collection and supplied to the site by Ridgeons’ Royston facility.
