Dave Osborn Director

I am a founder member of Lifestiles and have worked in every area of the business since its inception in 2004, including the financial management, sales, operations and a lot of forklift driving. I am committed to providing the best service to our customers at a fair price and building the business to ensure their continued satisfaction and the future for the staff and Directors.

Interests outside of work include rugby (watching these days), squash, tennis, my wife and two daughters, company dogs and of course socialising.

Mike Chillery Director

I am Mike one of the owners and directors of Lifestiles Ltd. I love roof tiles, slates, timber and stone and have been in the industry since returning to the UK back in 1996. I worked for merchants and manufacturers during those years and my one goal is to bring you excellent natural roofing options for every possible idea you have for your roof. I obviously am passionate about natural material when it comes to roofing and please feel free to contact if you want to discuss any ideas, new or old.

Outside of work I love my sport. I have been lucky enough to play football with some excellent players and coach’s over years, and for many years now have been coaching grass root football from little tots up to 18’s. It is great to give back to my local community and very rewarding for me personally. Sport for me now is golf and cricket and any time left I may spend with the family!

Chris Ruggles Operations Manager

I joined Lifestiles in March 2015, after 14 years in a previous role at a healthcare manufacturer. My main roles include, communicating with our factories; arranging haulage; stock control, swearing at the dogs and general yard duties. In a nutshell, my job is to make sure the company operates as smoothly as possible. I take great pleasure in seeing the end result of our hard work. From taking the initial enquiry through to the finished roof.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my young family, watching my beloved Colchester United (somebody has to) and playing my guitar(s).

Samantha Barron Business Development Manager

I joined Lifestiles Ltd in October 2016 with 5 years’ experience within the construction industry. My main role is developing & supporting our sales and customers, whilst trying to keep everyone happy! I really enjoy working with our team and driving to deliver excellence to our customers.

Outside of work I enjoy socialising with friends & spending time with my family and our puppy beagle (who can be testing at times!), as well as enjoying as many holiday as I can fit in / afford!

Sarah Osborn Office Assistant

I have worked with the company for ten years now and really enjoy my job. My role has also meant I’ve not been restricted to the normal day to day running of the office; I’ve been known to get my hands dirty too by helping with the preparation of tile orders – fair weather permitting of course! I am proud that the team have gone from strength to strength having started from such humble beginnings to now exhibiting at many building shows and offering such a wide range of products. It is very satisfying from receiving plans of customers potential new projects to the fruition of a job and how satisfied they have been with the finished outcome.

Out of work I have the envious task of looking after the office dogs and therefore enjoy walks around our lovely village. I enjoy keep fit too when I can. With a daughter in Manchester finishing her degree, weekends shopping are an enjoyable pastime. Any other time is enjoyed cooking and socializing with family and friends.

Bentley Dogs Body

I am a young dog and a nuisance to everyone – but cute. I am particularly fond of peacock poo but honestly if I’m allowed, I would happily eat anything. I used to work in the yard until I got my foot caught under the forklift wheel, now I’m not allowed – even with a hi-viz jacket.

Outside of work, I enjoy being a nuisance to everyone at home.

Bertie Dogs Body

I am a mature dog and I control the immediate area around my basket. I always do as I am told. I enjoy sleeping in the office and howling when my boss leaves the office. I have worked in the yard in the past and enjoyed rounding up the forklift, but frankly, I can’t be bothered with it anymore.

Outside of work, I enjoy football and sleeping in a different basket.
