Our Restoration handmade clay tile tops many a building throughout the UK but none more fitting than the grade 2 listed school in Redhill, Surrey. When the school fell into disrepair The Assembly renovation was put together and the work started back in 2011 and completed in 2012.
The building due to its listed status had to be restored to its former glory with all the rustic charm of this 1905 school, but with all the idea’s for modern contemporary living.
The brick, white wash render and timber cladding were all kept and the Restoration handmade tile was chosen for the roof areas, to the delight of listed buildings officers and locals. They all blend together perfectly and the building now looks as good as ever, the building stands tall and it was a pleasure to be involved in this award winning restoration of an historic old building.
